I still don't think Kinktober should be a tag, since there's nothing visual about it. It's just indicating when it was done (october) and that it has something "kinky". There's many other things like this: Smaugust, Sextober, Lycanroctober, Inktober, etc (October seems to get a lot of them). Anyone can come up with a new one at any time, and there's no official organization for it. It's just added when someone wants to slap that name on it, making nothing more than a vanity tag. That should be the kind of thing for a set, not a tag.

Still, even if it's kept for whatever reason, I don't think we need tags for specific years. We don't have tags for Christmas2022 or Halloween2021. So if they're not going to be invalidated, then this should at least be an alias.

Updated

Unsure how I feel about the tag itself, but we definitely don't need one for every year. Alias instead.

Personally, I think they all ought to be consolidated into one tag, perhaps Inktober, as it's the first challenge that all the others are based upon.

Updated

Definitely should be an alias. If anyone fancies continuing the debate over whether kinktober should be a tag at all, refer to the last thread.

(Also, what happened to the space this year?)

The bulk update request #4034 is active.

create alias kinktober2022 (0) -> kinktober (2830)
create alias kinktober_2021 (0) -> kinktober (2830)

Reason: I don't really feel like reigniting that thread from 2 years ago, so let's just alias all the existing kinktober variants to just plain kinktober. I think the blocking transitive relationship error should be resolved if the OP is rejected.

EDIT: The bulk update request #4034 (forum #356352) has been approved by @gattonero2001.
