I'd say alias the (artist) variants too, purely for the purpose of not breaking any tag subscriptions or blacklists.

OP already noticed, but putting it in the thread: alias #63849 and alias #63850 are related. If this BUR is approved, both of those aliases should be rejected, and vice versa.

(When reviewing aliases and BURs for approval, do staff get a page that mortals can't get, that lists all of the current and proposed activity around all of the tags involved? Or do they just always check the tags MetaSearch and BUR search pages?)
