I came across it after editing the tags on a post and saw that it somehow got added to the list despite never adding it. I got curious and saw the tag change history and it seems toung likes to pop out at random, there is no implications that would make it automatically add itself either. What is it?

Go to the more>> section at the top and look under post events to see tagging history btw

the "T" key is very close to the "Y" key

Could be a related reason seeing the tagging history but I'm very sure I never added the tag in the first place

It could be a misspelling of young, as darryus said the T key is right next to the Y key, or it could be someone's sloppy spelling of tongue. If it looks like you're adding it, carefully check over the spelling of tags you add since a small slip of the finger can change an intended "young" to "toung".

Don't know what link you were looking at, but this is how you search tag history. Unsurprisingly, it was indeed you who added it, twice, both times as a typo for "young".

change category toung (0) -> invalid

Reason: Common typo/misspelling for tongue and young. I think moving this to invalid category is best. Aliasing won't work as the mistag could be two completely different things.

I don't think I typed in toung, how it can happen when I successfully add the young tag but then the "toung" tag somehow also gets added.

I was looking at the mobile website, I don't know how the desktop version looks. Also I added it twice so I could edit my edit reason

I'm still confused by this because it is the same page, and if you see the history of toung getting added it likes to pop up

Got a better look at the history and see its not random, makes me believe more that it was a typo
