Nme is short for Nmeto, it's the alias he uses when he addresses his fans in the Greone comics. Some people think that "Nme" is his artist name but it's not it's short for Nmeto. So now when someone adds "Nme" it tags correctly as "Nmeto"

After combing over all the profiles and websites of this artist, here is what I have found:
They use both greone and nme in several of their account names - usually as part or all of their username. Sometimes they combine them into one account name (their twitter and FA are "nme_greone" and "nmegreone" respectively). And on pages like this they seem to credit both names side by side, with the hiragana for Nme then " / GREONE". So I'm really not sure if "greone" is a copyright like forum #146073 is asserting, or if it's a second username/pen name.
The language barrier isn't helping. There is a word that shows up next to "greone" a lot [サークル] which gets translated by google to "circle". Does that actually mean "series"? Does anyone know more about this or can read it better?
Other factors: If "greone" does get mistaken for the artist's name a lot (as said in forum #146073), then maybe it should be aliased to Nme and do something like greone_(series) for the copyright (if it is a copyright at all). In order to keep the copyright credit and artist credit distinct. Also, if it is a copyright, then we can't implicate the artist name with it anyways, in case there's ever fanart of it that would need only the copyright tag and not the Nme artist tag.
But before I can decide any of that, I really need to be able to confirm if "greone" is actually a copyright name for a series by Nme, and not just another username of Nme. So if anyone can help with that, provide more information, etc it would be appreciated. I don't speak a word of Japanese, but I need to be sure of what each of these words/names are for before I can process either of these two alias/implication suggestions.

"Nme" seems to be how they prefer to be credited. It's the name listed as the author on all of their works for sale in alice-books. It's how they introduce themselves in their own words on their written FA info. It's their main displayed name on their pixiv (though their login name on pixiv is greone.). They seem to use it a lot and prefer it, so it would make the most sense for Nme to then be the artist name we use for them on here.
I also haven't seen them use the name "Nmeto" anywhere. Can you show me where they even use "Nmeto"? I expected it to be mentioned somewhere on this artist's profiles but it didn't seem like they were using it. If they are using "Nmeto" then I'd like to see where and how they're using it.

A circle is a group of artists. With my limited Japanese knowledge and a little help from Wiktionary, it looks like Nme is the lead member of the circle GREONE.

A name for a group of artists can also be considered a copyright (pretty much) Nme is the artist while Greone is a circle group of artist with Nme as the head. So it's safe to say Greone is the copyright or name of his brand of content. Like how Marvel is a copyright and they have multiple artists under it and Stan Lee is publicly most known as a head so Spiderman though made and drawn by Stan Lee is considered Marvel. Thus a "Circle" = "Copyright" but I would not be concerned about fan art. No one makes fan art of doujins or doujin artists, If you check the only time greone is used as a tag is for when Nme makes comics or single page pics but it's always his work and no one else's So there shouldn't be much issue there. As for the example of "Nmeto" in use here's and example though he normally refers to himself as Nme it's only to shorten his name which is Nmeto. Translators aren't always privy to that information so they only use the short Nme when he refers to himself, that's why you see it more often. But here is proof of the full artists name in use if it counts for anything

Sounds like you need to be careful about tagging NightMare Enterprises (Heehee, couldn't resist) if it's from the group itself, and just because it's from nmeto doesn't mean it's part of the gorup, either.

Which is only true if Greone as a group posted different content, but they don't they only focus on Nmeto and it's like they collaborate with him to help him publish his works. If it was any other copyright I would agree with you whole heartedly but in this situation I must say because ALL greone content is Nme's work in particular and all they ever make is NME's work then in this case I would have to say a exception must be made. ESPECIALLY if Greone is commonly mistaken for the artists name to begin with. When people see the comics they will Tag "Greone" without knowing the actual name of the artist "Nmeto" so they get confused as what to tag it. This way "Greone" corrected from Artist to copyright tag, once added will imply "Nmeto" because that's the only art they publish is Nme's they've been doing this for YEARS I would be safe to say it's what they do as "Team Greone"

Thank you Suineder for that, it helped my research into fitting this jigsaw puzzle slowly together.

Greone is a 個人サークル (personal circle) which is like Nme's private publishing brand name for only their own dojinshi. It's in contrast to regular サークル (circle) which are shared by multiple artists who may not all be involved in all the same projects (and an implication would make into an horrible mess for that type of circle). Knowing that Greone is a 個人サークル assures me that there's no one else involved who could start publishing dojinshi through Groene and cause confusion if it was implicated with Nme as an artist. That was very important to know for sure and not just assume was the case. Failing to verify that could cause a nightmare of a tag mess down the road.
Now, since Nme does publish some things through their pixiv as Nme and keeps Greone more dojinshi centric, I suppose there's some merit in keeping both tags. So I'm going to approve implicating Greone to --> Nme. It's unusual, because most copyrights in the west have multiple artists and/or fan art so this would never work. Because this decision is unusual, that's part of why I had to be sure what all of these things were before I could approve any of it. Thank you for eventually being patient as I tracked all of this down. We didn't have a policy for this type of situation and nothing about this request was standard, so there was a lot of research involved and that took a lot longer than anticipated.
And I am also approving the aliases of Nmeto (their nickname), んめ (their pixiv display name), nme_greone (their twitter name), nmegreone (their FA name) all to --> Nme. Even though Nme may well be the shorter nickname for Nmeto, Nme is what they call themselves when they introduce themselves in their bio on their FA. Twice. And Nme is what they use in all of their usernames and what their Pixiv display name transliterates into. So I think it's clear Nme is what they prefer to be credited by.
It's worth mentioning that their login name for Pixiv is Greone. So between that and their FA and Twitter usernames (which are combined), it's understandable why some people think "greone" is the artist name.
