Reason:

So my actual reason for creating this thread was that I noticed grunt_(pokémon) was not categorised as a character tag, despite every tag that implies it being characters. Even though the umbrella tag does not refer to a specific character by itself, there is much precedent for having characters as implication targets - for example, koopaling is a character tag.

However I then noticed that it has not yet gone through the é-ctomy process of most other Pokémon tags, so we have to fix that before anything else can be changed.

so thought pokemon Grunt was similar to role (like waiter, baseball_pitcher, etc) BUT...

All 8 tags that imply to grunt (pokémon) are all in character category:
aqua_grunt, flare_grunt, galactic_grunt, magma_grunt, plasma_grunt, rainbow_rocket_grunt, rocket_grunt, and skull_grunt.

so putting grunt_(pokemon) into character category seems reasonable. (perhaps similar to character tags such as pokemon_trainer, fan_character, webcomic_character, etc)

Do those eight tags (aqua_grunt to skull_grunt) have to be switched (included in a BUR):
1) FROM imply-> grunt (pokémon)
2) TO imply -> grunt_(pokemon) ??
