Yeah but the proposed alias is from specifically hanging upside down being aliased to just being upside down in general so there's no conflict

Hanging upside down often refers to suspension bondage positions. An *implication* from hanging_upside_down to upside_down makes more sense, no? Not every upside down pose involves hanging/suspension. A straight up alias is going to give a bunch of inaccurate results.
