Reason: From the highleg wiki:
When the high part of a garment's leg opening stops upwards of the hip, near the waist or even farther, giving the illusion of long legs. Also known as high cut.
Also used when the strap of a bikini or pair of panties curves in a similar arc above the pelvis.
Where the leg opening/strap stops in relation to the navel is a good basis of the garment being highleg.
I thought this sounded like a useful tag, though it currently only has one implication in place: highleg_leotard -> highleg. This BUR would fill out all of the other possible implications for highleg that I can think of.
Some notes and considerations:
- Aliasing highleg_swimsuit to highleg_swimwear because “swimsuit” is a non-specific term already aliased to swimwear.
- Aliasing highleg_stockings to thigh_highs because stockings cannot possibly be “highleg” according to this definition, and both current uses (as well as any future use I can possibly imagine) are simply referring to thigh highs.
- The only missing tag I could conceive of is possibly highleg_speedo, but that doesn’t currently exist, and it seems like an extremely unlikely thing, as something like highleg really defies the look of the Speedo in the first place. I could still add it, but I didn’t as I get the sense that it’ll possibly never be used.
I had highleg_panties skip “highleg_underwear” and go straight to highleg, as I don’t think any other kind of underwear can actually be considered highleg. I’m not sure about thong. I feel like thongs are probably just strings on the sides that can be adjusted however you like, so whether or not it’s “highleg” only depends on how you wear it, whereas something like a highleg leotard is actually cut with high leg openings and so cannot be worn any other way. But if not, then virtually all thongs would be considered “highleg,” but I’m not sure that’s the point of highleg, so I’ve left it out. However, I think almost all of the results for highleg_panties are simply mistagged thongs anyway.I changed this to include thongs, as it appears there are plenty of thongs that aren’t highleg… and also sometime bikinis are thong-style, and keeping these things out of the tag seem like it’ll be more effort than it’s worth. I guess it still fits the definition anyway, technically.
