Topic: [APPROVED] snake_tongue fix BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #2160 is active.

create alias snake_tongue (0) -> forked_tongue (16907)
create implication snake_for_a_tongue (12) -> unusual_tongue (148)
create implication snake_for_a_tongue (12) -> snake (49650)

Reason: snake tongue had 150 uses - of those, 140 were forked tongues. The tag was intended to be used for characters who have an actual snake for a tongue (akin to snake tail, snake penis, etc.), but it was being used almost exclusively for forked tongues. I moved all 10 posts featuring actual snake tongues to a much less ambiguous snake for a tongue tag so that this one can be safely aliased away.

Also, characters with a snake for a tongue have an unusual tongue. I’m not sure if this tag should also imply snake or not. I’m thinking not, since it’s not a separate entity - just an anatomical feature, but I’m not sure. snake tail and snake penis imply snake already.

EDIT: The bulk update request #2160 (forum #329482) has been approved by @bitWolfy.

I just noticed this tag change from a recent wiki edit. I would argue that implying snake can lead to (rare-ish) issues where other sentient penis are not actually snakes but are "visually coded" in the same way would end up incorrectly tagged as snake.

Compare snaked, which has no such implication and can thus account for variations like dragonairs, eels (nevermind, there's eel_insertion, though one may wonder if it's needed, given ophidicism includes the use of eels by most definitions) and so on.

Your own wiki says "a literal snake or snake-like creature", so it would may be advisable to remove the snake implication.
