Reason

Reupload bc posted in a topic by mistake

(Edit: removed suggestion to change "slugcat_(rain_world)" to "slugcat", as it interfered with other parts of the request and was largely a wording preference. The existing tag is fine as is for now.)

  • Changed "lizards_(rain_world)" to "lizard_(rain_world)" for correct grammar
  • Rain World's "Orange Lizards" are officially referred to as "Yellow Lizards". I support changing the main tag and keeping an alias.
  • Iterator name tags revised - "Big Sister Moon" is a nickname and not the actual name of the iterator (which is "Looks to the Moon"), and I support adding the "_(rain_world)" suffix because of the iterators' unconventional naming.
  • Implication of character and species tags to copyright tag

remove alias slugcat -> hybrid # missing
create alias slugcat_(rain_world) -> slugcat # duplicate of has blocking transitive relationships, cannot be applied through bur

I'm still somewhat unfamiliar with the BUR system. Is there any way I can fix these particular issues?

I'm guessing that the first is perhaps because the "slugcat" tag doesn't alias to the "hybrid" tag, but i'm not 100% sure that's the case.

I don't really know what the exact problem is with the second issue, however.

My main goal was to move the species tag to just "slugcat" per the reasons listed in my BUR (and make sure that the "slugcat" tag wasn't aliased to anything else in the meantime). Is this a deprecated tag-specific issue?

slugcat is not aliased to hybrid, so the unalias is useless. For the alias, topic #32672 is trying to alias slugcat_(rain_world) to rain_world, which makes the BUR unhappy with trying to alias slugcat_(rain_world) to slugcat (a tag can only be aliased to one thing at a time). You're also trying to implicate slugcat_(rain_world) to rain_world like the implcation request in that topic, hence the "duplicate of implication #43568"... which also doesn't make sense here if you're trying to alias slugcat_(rain_world) to slugcat (an aliased tag is removed from the post, so it can't also implicate something).

what would the simplest solution here be?

regardless of choice, i suppose i should remove the unalias

i wanted to basically change the "slugcat_(rain_world)" tag to the "slugcat" tag. this leaves me with two questions:

  • if i decide NOT to try to make this change and leave the "slugcat" tag alone, would this solve the issue?
  • on the other hand, if i decide to go through with this change, what is the proper option here? should I reject the initial implication (not in this BUR)?

I appreciate the explanation.

ok, i've decided that i'll remove both and see if that fixes the problem (for some reason it's now telling me that I now need to limit my BURs to 25 requests, and my post had 27)

edit: issue appears to be fixed. no outstanding issues with this BUR i think

Remove the unalias, leave the alias slugcat_(rain_world) -> slugcat as is and ask a moderator to reject implication #43568, and change imply slugcat_(rain_world) -> rain_world to imply slugcat -> rain_world.

thank you for the response but frankly i'm fine with the tag still being "slugcat_(rain_world)" so long as it actually implicates the series tag

i'll edit my BUR description accordingly
