Topic: Unknown BURtists

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #1877 is pending approval.

create alias unknow_(artist) (1) -> unknown_artist (51437)
mass update species_unknown -> species_unknown_(artist)
mass update creature_unknown -> creature_unknown_(artist)

Reason: A lot of posts that had unknow_(artist) actually had artist tags, I assume somebody added that because they didn't realize the artist was tagged in the general category. It had quite a few posts under it which lead to even new posts getting the tag.
Those two artists... Those are not good names for a tagging system like ours. Both phrases sound like they're refering to an unknown species, not to an artist.

This may have to be run as two separate BURs; I think the order of operations for BURs is unreliable. So do the updates first, then the aliases separately. See bitWolfy's note on topic #31392

Edit: I looked through for mistags and found only one: post #2069377, which was actually unknown_species. The artist tags are correct for everything else.

Category isn't ordered right, but updates do occur first from what I've seen.

I'm not sure anybody would ever attempt to tag an unknown species as creature_unknown. I feel like it might as well be aliased to creature_unknown_(artist).

Operations are queued in order, but execution order is undefined for BURs. Assume that they can happen in any order, as well as parallel.
