Reason: I have been sitting on this BUR for ages. The tags have long been ready for implications, and have played an important role in keeping similar postures together in their own areas. These tags have been relatively well maintained, and these relations have been enforced in bulk meaning that this BUR will have minimal impact on existing tags.

What does this accomplish?

- Creates relations between the four existing singular/plural combination tags.
- The relation structure will look like this for each combination tag.

I always considered the ankle more part of the foot, though the dictionary is telling me it's where the foot and leg meet, so I guess it's as much one as the other?

It is a difficult area of anatomy to judge. I struggled with this problem for some time, but ultimately decided it made sense to include the term as a leg part. We already have ankle grab implying leg grab, and the term ankle was being interpreted quite loosely to refer to the narrowed part of the leg attached to the foot, and rarely was used for the heel area.

I feel it is easiest to associate it with the leg as most depictions will show a character interacting with some part of the leg at the same time. In plantigrade anatomy (other forms are more complicated), the ankle joint represents a small region, and directly connected to the joint is the fibia, and the tibia bones of the leg. Things tagged under ankle will likely be touching this side of the joint, and other situations may be better tagged as a foot interaction instead.

What about the fact that handcuffs actually go on wrists? Yeah, ankle/wrist tags related to restraints or being held seem relevant.

The ankle region as far as postures are concerned involves an area better associated with the leg. Having three distinct regions is problematic for posture tagging, it is very difficult to avoid also touching the leg if this region is touched, and the border between the ankle region and the leg is sometimes non-existent (much of the time the leg just tapers right into the foot). In less words, the ankle region doesn't really refer to the anatomy, but a very low region on the leg itself.

I struggled with this issue, but after testing whether combining the tag as it sits would be harmful to tagging and concluded this change would not impact the tag from a searching perspective in a negative way. I would go so far to argue that many taggers assume the entire region below the waist is the leg region, probably including the foot whether that is accurate or not.

Consider that ankle_grab is already implicating leg_grab, and changing this would be a hassle while making posture tagging more complicated, it is in our best interests to have ankle interactions be treated as leg interactions.

The same problem affects wrists. Beyond the hand region, the forearm basically connects directly into the hand most of the time. There isn't anything you could tell to judge that what is being touched wasn't part of the arm. The fact that handcuffs reference the hand is a misnomer, and they are a type of wrist cuff.
