Topic: I am connected, but I can't remember or find my password T_T

Posted under Off Topic

Salutations Moderators, I hope we can find a solution to my weird situation.

I created this account (G0dz33l4) months ago and recorded its password on my Google account, so I only typed it twice and completely forgot it. So I cannot log in from any other device than this crappy tablet.

To top it all off, this morning, while searching for it in the Password Manager, I misclicked and *fucking erased it*, so now I cannot leave this session without locing myself out. Is there anything that can be done to not lose the account (and all my favorite yiff)?

If you supplied a valid email address when signing up, then the Sign In page lets you reset your password. At least it does on e926, so I assume it does on e621 too.

If you don't have a valid email address, consider starting over. There's very little on your account and refavoriting 234 posts will take no time if you just go to fav:G0dz33l4 on your new account, change the Mode from View to Favorite, and click them all.

I recommend G0dz33l4rd. The rd stands for redo.

Thank you both for your answers.

I did not provide any email when creating this account, and I strongly regret it now ^^

I had no idea a user could see all the favorites of someone else, it makes creating a new account far less daunting, great!

But before I go with this solution, I have a plan : I clearly remember what word I picked and intentionally mistyped (to make it harder for a bot to guess from a dictionary), but I can't remember what typo it was, so I compiled all 96 possible variations I may have used. But if I try one by one too many wrong passwords, will I be locked out as a potential haker ?

You won't be locked out if you have too many password attempts, however I can clearly see an email on your account being present so if you got access to that email still you can just reset the password.

You can see your email by going to your account settings, should be near the top.

Edit: Even if you would have had no email set you could just set one right now, then use that to reset it right away, too.
