Topic: Minimum quality standards?

The latter seems to have a bit too much loose pixels to me, but they're loose enough that you can also just take a brush tool and clean them up. If you had the colors stored on a separate layer from your sketch, you can also just take the eraser tool to clean them up.

Yeah, it's on a separate layer. It's just. More fun to draw, when I don't have to worry about things being clean, if that makes sense. Ideally I can post stuff like the latter image without any concern, so I can draw the way I want to.

But I'd understand if that wasn't allowed. Just wanna make sure so I don't get in trouble and avoid uploading stuff of that quality.

I don't see any problems with any of the examples. Quality standards are "submissions need to display a solid grasp of artistic principles", not that "all pixels shall stay withing given proximity and everything has to be perfect". Just because you didn't feel like spending absurd amount of time cleaning up coloring on a sketch would be ridiculous, especially considering that it's a sketch.

As long as they are proper PNG instead of twitter destroyed JPGs like in example, I would happily approve these any day.

As a protip with Twitter, they do not JPG compress the image uploads as long as the upload is either:
- 900px in dimensions or under. (Downscale using lanczos, nohalo or similar method)
- 256 colors (8-bit) maximum. (Pinga is pretty great for this, with newest version enable lossy mode and "space over quality". Just remember to backup, because this will degrade the file.)
- JPG with no exif rotation and under 4096px. (Make 100 quality JPG)

What Mairo said, although I believe all art exported from the 3DS is in JPG automatically if you post to twitter from the ds

What do you use? Colors 3D? If so then i think you can post the art there using the private upload feature and dowload the PNG onto a computer for better version.
