Topic: [feature] suggested images based on favourites

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Is there a way currently to recieve image suggestions based on your favourites?

If not this could be % weighted by the volume of tags.

Obviously not all images contain the same tags and so this may be a way to come across artwork/artists you may have overlooked.

Any thoughts?

This idea sounds expensive. I think you would need to make a database for each user and train a neural network based on that database either using the images themselves, the tags of them for similarity and then mix that with art style. Even then, you would only start to see it give good suggestions when the database has 1000s of images in it.

Step 1: create an AI that does nothing but look at furry porn all day

Step 2: give it access to the U.S. Military Defense network

Step 3: ???

Step 4: profit

I shudder at the thought of what an AI like that would think of humanity.

Serious answer to the original question: it has been done before. Material e621 had something like this, but that thing is broken now.
My re621 has a module that does something similar, although it's pretty basic: https://i.imgur.com/ypG2xdx.png
It pretty much just sums up the tags from your favorites, and provides a list from which you can build a new search. Whether or not the results are accurate is... debatable.

@Odisaodi @Binagon - well other websites with video material are able to do this just by looking at your cookies, you don't even need to have an account for it to start suggesting material. It wouldn't have to be based on art style unless that was defined itself as a tag. It certainly shouldn't be expensive or require the training of an AI.

@bitWolfy - that's something that I shall take a look at as it might be useful!
