Topic: Neutral face BUR

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The bulk update request #813 is pending approval.

create alias [[=|]] (0) -> neutral_face (0)
create alias neutral_expression (905) -> neutral_face (0)
create alias poker_face (74) -> neutral_face (0)

Reason: All of these terms seem to mean the same thing. It will get rid of one of the more problematic emoticon tags too.

I can't alias :| to this tag through the BUR.

"Error: Error: Antecedent name ':|' cannot begin with a colon (':') (create alias :| -> neutral_face)"

I'm not sure that should be aliased anyway. :| reads to me like a displeased, shocked, or incongruous expression, depending on context. I suppose it could be neutral in some instances, but I don't think it always is.

I think ":|" strikes the same as "=|", unlike ":I" that can vary slightly depending on the typeface.
