A friend of mine created my artist and character tags when uploading my art for the first time. They used the _(artist) and _(character) suffixes and I've since realized that you only need to do that in case of duplicate names. I was wondering if there was an easy way to lop off those suffixes, or if I have to create new ones should I change the current tags to invalid?

In an instance where the artist and character share a name, e6 typically uses suffixes to separate the tags since a tag of a specific name can't exist more than once. We can't make a tag simply called ren_winterfox for both an artist and a character...

Unless you want to change your artist name or character name altogether, we'd keep those suffixes so people can accurately tag your artwork and artwork depicting your character.
