Topic: What to do with "gender_transformation"...

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

So, its current wiki entry says "Usually not applicable to after transformation, unless the character is visibly reacting to the transformation, such as by inspecting their new body and parts." This implies that there are situations where it CAN apply to a post-transformation pic. However, the transformation tag is only supposed to apply to images where the transformation is currently taking place on-screen, and the gender_transformation tag currently implies transformation. Which means that any post-transformation images where the character is reacting to their new naughty bits, will still be tagged as if the transformation's still occurring, the moment anyone adds the gender_transformation tag. So! That raises the question. Do we de-implicate gender_transformation from transformation; or do we remove the part of the wiki stating it can still apply if the character's reacting to body parts, and go about removing the tags from images where no active transformation is taking place?

The transformation tags might need a bit of a cleanup. In my opinion, the transformation tag itself should apply to current, post, and implied transformations, and cases where a transformation is actively occurring gets the mid_transformation tag. I once proposed this some time back, and was told mid_transformation wasn't used enough, but it seems to be used more often these days (it was at around 100 posts or so back then, IIRC, and now it's near 1000).

I think gender_transformation should be handled like species_transformation... a post_transformation image which has indications that the character was another gender (as opposed to another species or form) should get the gender_transformation tag.
