I'm not familiar with it being used for herm, just Loli meaning "Young girl" or "Woman of youthful appearance" while Shota is "Young boy" or "Man of youthful appearance." A lot of people refer to the latter as the former, though.

People frequently don't tag the gender on these for some reason.

...Actually, I ran a search on it. Only one image shows up when searching for either loli -female or shota -male. Fixing them now.

Agreed on shota -male, but loli -female has 9? posts, for me, including two that are herm. Your blacklist is probably misleading you.

If my blacklist is keeping them out, then it's because they're tagged loli cub rating:e because the only things on my blacklist are explicit cubs and scat. And the thing is, being an English site, "Loli" and "Cub" are two completely different things; cub is supposed to be an ACTUAL underaged character, while Loli is not.

Loli can also be applied to human characters, where cub doesn't.

Do note that the wiki disagrees with you, though:

A Loli is an underaged female character. This phrase is used to refer to humans and cubs alike.

Admittedly, not every loli will actually be underage, as the phrase is also used to describe a certain youthful appearance, but the majority are, or should be underaged.

Note: This should only be tagged for explicit and sexually suggestive content.

If y'all wanna do that for the non-human ones, go for it, but I'm gonna stick to just tagging the ones that actually show up when I'm searching for stuff I do like.

Loli and shota are basically pedophilia tags. Or at least that's how we agreed to use them when those tags were restored.

Both should only be tagged for apparently underage characters (both human and furry), and only if they're sexualized.

Also current usage disagrees as well.

Cub refers only to [young age] + [furry character]. Safe or explicit it doesn't matter.

Loli refers to a specific style of [cute] + [childlike features], which can easily be applied to anthro and human(oid) characters.

Loli also picked up a second definition of "anything drawn that looks far too underage and is also erotic". I'm assuming it picked up this definition because people were, understandably, a bit squicked out by typing out child rating:explicit into any search box.

There is actually no real reason why either definition would conflict with cub.

What are you trying to blacklist exactly? I might be able to help a bit. Sometimes you can tease the correct posts out.
