Reason: This is Stage 1 of a multi-stage BUR intended to move the color tags into the invalid tag category space.

Stage 1

Remove aliases to invalid color, and transition tags to invalid category.

Stage 2

- Imply color tags to invalid_color instead.
- Gold, and silver should be disambiguated instead. Alias golden to gold_(disambiguation).

EDIT: The bulk update request #391 (forum #299600) has been approved by @Millcore.

If gold and silver are going to be disambiguated, orange should too since it can also refer to the fruit.

Why?

It doesn't have to be. The primary reason I mentioned it is that they were previously associated with those tags, but it might be useful if the tags end up needing to be cleaned out. If it isn't useful I can just not include it in the next stage.

An implication to invalid_color doesn't make much sense, since the tag will be visible in red under the Invalid category header. It's already marked as Invalid, so implying invalid_color will just add redundant invalid tags to a post. Besides which, the colors themselves aren't generally invalid, but the tag is too vague to be useful (what does blue mean? blue_theme, blue_body, blue_hair, ...?), so it's more of a disambiguation situation.

Also, I notice you list
category gray -> invalid
remove alias gray -> invalid_color
twice, and there's no
category grey -> invalid
remove alias grey -> invalid_color
That a typo?

Oops fixed.

I agree that disambiguation makes sense and in case of disambiguation, I still think having a category tag is useful for people who want to clean out the color tags. Otherwise there would be no simple way of searching for all of the color tags at once without typing them all into the search bar.

Edit:
I think I have a solution for the problem that doesn't need an umbrella tag. I'll look into it when the first stage is handled.
