Topic: [Feature] Profile Image should be removed from the Banned user's profile

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

This is my first Feature_Request. So please Let me know if there's a problem with my methods.γ€€And by no means am I angry with anyone...just can't keep my mouth shut.
Hello. I recently created e6 account and have been learning a bit more about this world. But, I'm freaking out that I'm going to do it without knowing it's bad. If I may say so myself, don't think I have a good character. So by looking at examples of what's good and what's bad, I'm trying to keep myself on top of it. One day I thought...

==Requested feature overview description==
maybe The Image should be removed from the Banned user's profile, Why wouldn't it be?

==Why would it be useful?==
(1) Prevent Drama from being caused.
I saw the comments on the image the banned user was using. It was a terrible scene. I'm pretty sure I saw the definition on howto:comment :

Do: Show lighthearted appreciation of your favourite characters.
Do: Engage in friendly discussion with other furry enthusiasts.
Don't: Cause drama, insult/troll users, be annoying just for the sake of being annoying...

It's impossible for "the image" to be guilty. I did Not think it was possible that the use of images could cause drama ( =trouble? ) .
But when I see such a terrible scene, I can't help but wonder if I was wrong. What the hell is the Comments_Section for?

(2) There's one more thing I'm afraid of ... If you were an Artist, what would you think of this?
Imagine, the images you post are being used by banned users....., the images you post are filled with garbage....., You want that to happen?
NO, I'd Hate that for sure if I were you.
I think It is also a very good way to ensure they think twice before uploading another posts. And it not Be nice to artists: Without them there would be nothing to look at.

I plan to publish my work in the future in Japanese_Kemono_community / furry_fandom , and think e6 is the most appropriate place to do so. Of course, I'll do use YouTube.
Because the admins and users here handle the art in a friendly and solemn manner. ← To Tell You The Truth , That's what I'm here to find out
I believe that Artists can trust it and entrust their work to here. But if I'm going to be treated that terribly, I'm going to have no choice but to become a member of the DNP?

==What part(s) of the site page(s) are affected?==
The image disappears from the place where it is used β‡’ User's_Profile , Comments , Forum , Blips ...etc.
Of course, only if the user is permanently banned.
Sorry , It may take a sacrifice of Admin/Janitor time to make this process a reality. ( I guess, the users who fill great art with garbage won't go away... )
.
.
=This is off the topic=
When admin say no, they mean no.
But If there's something I don't understand, or I think I might have been told "No" unreasonably,
Is it wrong to ask for an opinion on Forum or to ask the admin WHY , instead of commenting ?

I'd like to hear your view.πŸ˜”

Comments, garbage and dramas are never because X user is using certain pic as an avatar :p So I honestly don't mind if a banned user is using one of my pics as an avatar.

Users' profile pics are pics that are on the site, and I sometimes find neat stuff because it's someone's profile pic. 99% of the time I won't know who they are or why they're banned, and the image itself is fine for the site, so I don't see why they should have it removed from their profile/comments when they're banned.

!!😲!! y , you're ------ I love your art that I see here and in FA, saw that before I had e6 account.
You're right. Or maybe I should have that mindset too. We've got the backing here, when it comes down to it.

Yes. Sometimes I discover new artists by watching someone else's actions and comments, too.
It was certainly an irregularity , but that scene was enough to make me question it. Maybe we can ask the admin for help when we need.

I'd agree with you in stating that in this case, it's impossible for the image to be guilty, as just because some notorious user uses the picture as a pfp, doesn't mean it should represent them: people shouldn't be connecting the image to the commenter, even if said person was a deplorable human being. Such comments are being directed to something other than the art and creating unnecessary drama based on something barely involved with said art piece, and quite frankly would in fact fall under the rule you mentioned. If it bothered you in such a way you think the artist might take offence, you could probably justifiably report these comments, because they do appear to be rule breaking and could lead to bad relations with the artist. I suppose you can also consider these comments as keeping the spirit of a bad person alive, so even more of a reason that people shouldn't be making them.

That being said, also keep in mind that not every banned user is guilty of something atrocious, maybe they were just being cringe and got reported for it, or maybe they got banned for messing with tags or something. While these people can be annoying, I don't think they should be demonized for something relatively trivial. And like watsit mentioned, sometimes you find some good profile pictures when looking through the comments, even from banned users.

I see , starting to understand a bit more about how to deal with these problems.😌
I may have seen the darkness of e6. But even so, I understand now what's important.
Yeah , I can't know or determine everything just by looking at it. Next time in a similar situation, will take the necessary action with caution.
For now I'll just wait and see what happens with that image...

I'm glad every users are so friendly and earnest even if I post topics like this.
Come to think of it, sometimes when I'm looking at PFP and Comments, it's so surreal it makes me laugh.

Edit : oh no.....it's complicated
