I do not understand why this tag has been made ambiguous.
On one hand, we have mohawk_(hairstyle) - a fairly popular and common hairstyle, with almost 5k posts.
On the other, we have an artist mohawkrex, who has 24 posts to their name from seven years ago.

The artist's name is not a full match to the hairstyle. There is nothing ambiguous here.

This has to be done in two parts.
First, unalias all the spelling variants from the hairstyle, then alias all of those to the base mohawk tag.

I've been meaning to make a thread about this for so long, absolutely +1.

How did this.. ever even happen?? I can't even find a request for this alias, looks like it was just added with no consensus. The only thing I can ever imagine it being ambiguous with is the native American Mohawk people, which I don't think are going to be tagged here ever.

I think mohawk_(hairstyle) should be aliased back to mohawk and a BUR made to alias all the other tags to mohawk instead.

Yes, other things with the name "mohawk" exist. That doesn't mean people aren't going to think of the hairstyle first and foremost. Besides, neither of those seem to have any posts in the first place, and even then, mohawk_people, mohawk_attack_chopper, problem solved.

Gonna point out it's a plane, unless you're talking about the fictional transport helicopter from ArmA 3 instead, or mixing it with the AH-64 Apache.
The tag for the plane would more likely come out as ov-1_mohawk anyway.

I kept digging to double-check myself and all I found is four different fixed-wing planes and the name of a British naval vessel.
