Topic: New Tags

Do I ask for new tags to be created or do I just tag them and wait for them to be approved?
If the former, where/how do I suggest new tags?

Just tag them. If a tag does not exist, it will be created automatically.
If a tag is not of a general type, you will also need to go to its wiki page, click the "Edit" button, and set the correct category.
