https://e621.net/post/index/1/pads_(disambiguation) so somehow this tag was made into a character tag, when I assume it was supposed to apply to pawpads? not really sure, but will need someone to strip the character tag from that one. Gonna also try to create a character tag named "pads(character)" later this weekend but will be a bit of a chore trying to find out which images were supposed to be named pads, and which were refering to pawpads..

Fixed. For context's sake, prior to an update anyone could edit tag types if the tag was below 150 posts tagged, so this likely was changed from a general tag to a character tag (or never fixed...); this has now been changed, you use the tags section to update tag types.

I think some disambiguation tags were changed to character to be more easily seen, just like invalid_tag is a copyright tag.

Nah, disambiguations are never intentionally changed to some tag type for visibility. This happened because pad or pads was set as character tag when it was aliased to the disambiguation tag, which will move the tag type over to the tag it was aliased to.
