I'm not sure how I was supposed to lay this out but the decision is mildly subjective :c either way there are 100's of names for the same thing without a common denominator (so far as I can see).

I think this was kinda sorta discussed before, and it was decided that the umbrella term for things like this should be "legwear." So I think that all of the tags you mentioned should be implicated to legwear at the very least, so that it can be much more easily searched. Although socks, striped socks, and toeless_socks might be likely exceptions, that's more footwear really.

Thigh_high should definitely be aliased to thigh_highs, or vise versa, my vote is on thigh_highs but not for any real reason.

And though I hate to admit it, clothing is always really hard to define. There are a million different names for jackets too, like blazer, sweater, sweat_shirt, hoodie, coat, etc. They're all very similar with slight variation, and not everybody always agrees on exactly what those variations are. Legwear seems even harder to agree on for some reason.

Socks are a key "thing" for me so I'm sure to headbutt obstructions ;p

It depends how niche the admins want the tag system to be really, it could definitely do with tying up into "socks" at the very least.

Well there's already a footwear tag, so what about implying things like that to footwear? Would shoes count as footwear, or should we make that tag stand for everything worn on a feet but shoes?
