Can someone explain to me why the sally_acorn tag now
implies the sonic_the_hedgehog_(archie) tag?

I know she appeared in the Archie comics as a main character,
But she wasn't created by Archie.
She was created for the Sonic SatAM Cartoon by DIC Entertainment.
The only reason why she appeared in the comics first was that it's much faster
To produce a comic book than a TV Episode.

Similarly, Renee Montoya from Batman appeared in comics before her debut in
Batman: The Animated Series, but she was created for the Animated Series.

Yeah its incorrect but also comes down to a deep understanding of the properties involved to be able to make an informed call on this.

Do we tag sally thats pink from early archie as the only true archie comics version of her?

Is the dic entertainment property that is far less well known still supposed to be used? Its not actually tagged nor does it have a tag as to my knowledge to begin with. Same with antoine and rotor.

Archie comics used the characters bc the characters were quasi owned by sega and partnerships with dic properties for other comics at the time as well iirc. Not due to speed or anything else close to that.

Its a good question but I think the implication is correct in this case. Unless we start tagging dic media for its shows which none of which were original more or less.
