this "friend" of yours reminds me of a former friend of mine i blocked on skype and a few other places not long ago. same problem except he went about it like a total ASS. >.> lets just say, he went from being a decent friend to...well, i've seen less annoying trolls before. maybe if he'd take a freaking hint and BACK OFF, i wouldn't have blocked him but no, dealing with him just got increasingly worse.

no real advice from me but...been there, done that :/ not fun to deal with someone when they get that way.

If you have to solicit advice from porn sites on how to handle simple social situations like this then you have bigger problems to worry about.

I've known people like that, so I get what you're saying. Sooner or later you'll need to lay down some basic personal boundaries with him, and then reinforce them when needed. And if he's a good friend, he'll learn to respect them and your friendship will get better because of it. Right now that behavior is probably damaging the friendship, so it's a mutually good thing to do. If he doesn't take the hint, keeps being such a huge ass and won't cut it out...Then I hate to say it but there might come a time when you need to ask yourself whether he's still a real friend or if at some point (probably awhile ago) he stopped being one altogether. It's worth it to find out either way though.

Just to be clear, this isn't about whether or not he likes Renamon. This is about him being a gigantic asshole towards you about (from the sounds of it) a lot of different things and not just this one instance. And if you lay down a couple basic personal boundaries, sometimes they'll test it to see if you're serious at first, then change when they realise that you mean it. Sometimes they didn't realise they were being such a big asshole until you let them know it wasn't appreciated or allowed anymore. And sometimes they won't change their behavior at all. And that's when you'll know that they don't value you as a friend, you're just someone to boss around. At that point, you'll just have to decide how long you're willing to put up with being shat on and friend-bullied. At some point you just have to cut someone loose and take your chances finding better people to hang out with.

From the few times I've been down this kind of road before, I can say that it's never felt worth it to put it off, regardless of however it turned out in the end. I just ended up regretting all the time wasted when things could have been better instead of all that continued crap. You'll either get a better friend out of it or one less asshole in your life. So either way, your life will just be better off. That's just my two cents and experience. Best of luck to you with yours and whatever you decide to do.
