Simple question.

Why?

Mewtwo's new form is not labelled as Mewthree in any of the pokemon sites. It's stated to be the awakened form of Mewtwo and is not a new pokemon in anyway.. CoroCoro has confirmed this as well as many of the other large Pokemon sites.

If we're tagging it as Mewthree, then fine. But Mewtwo_(Awakened_Forme) needs to be implicated to Mewthree.

It was decided early on, and we're leaving it as is until there's an official name to change it to.

Official names have put it as the awakened form.

In any case, I'll watch Pokemon Smash and see if they announce the name since there is a new update on the whole X Y thing.

That's not it's name, it doesn't have one yet officially.
The new update was 4 new pokemons, Helioptile(electric/normal), Fletchling(normal/flying), Pancham(fighting), and Gogoat(Grass) also apparently you can ride around on Gogoat, maybe other pokemon too.

We want to make sure people are using the most common name when tagging/searching. We'll change all the tags over to the official name once it's released.

Although it was a fake Pokémon, it was given an official mention in Mewtwo Strikes Back, where the scientists responsible for creating Mewtwo, commenting on the success of its creation, decided to start making Mewthree. However, the plans never got beyond this due to Mewtwo's destruction of the lab on New Island.

Mewthree stays.
