yes, it should be aliased, that tag war with dragonknight (and others, but mainly him) wount end till he gets smacked, its linked to flora or something.

The leoian_(character) tag needs to be cleaned up as well if we do this, as it's being used to claim this Flora knockoff character in addition to being used on some male herm version of the Flora knockoff character.

The tag warring of 'this is Fauna because she has slightly bigger boobs' and 'this is Flora because who gives a fuck about slightly different cup sizes' is getting silly.

Can anyone find a difference between the two? If not, then I fully support this

The usual response by supporters of the character and tag is that Fauna has slightly bigger breasts, though you'd be hard-pressed to notice a difference.

To be honest, I did notice the difference in breast size. I meant can they find another difference? Because the different size of breasts doesn't make it a whole new character

what digital said, mainly the supporters say breast size, then when that fails they scream "check source!" ive changed the tags on images back to flora so many damn times...

Reddragonknight and DrLeion (or whatever his name is) are the contributing source of the tag war, however drl stopped...reddragonknight has yet to cease and desist. Alieasing it would put an abrupt, complete end to this.

Are there seriously no differences besides breast-size? Is the owner of the character involved in these tag-wars or some of his followers?

If the owner himself is involved then I'll need to get in touch with him about this and see what can be done (within reason) that won't result in a takedown request.

Sometimes they use eye color as a deciding factor, but breast size seems to be the go-to defense.

In addition, I'm seeing the character leoian_(character) tag being used to refer to this character a lot, but also being used to refer to another character. I'm not sure what the qualifying credentials are for this distinction, but I don't see the following as being the same:

Where it's obvious Leoian is the male character, and the female character is getting tagged as 'Fauna' (though by all rights it should be getting tagged as Flora when taking TWYS into account). I don't mind the Leoian_(character) tag being used for the male character, but using fauna_(character) for the female has got to go. There are simply not enough distinguishing characteristics to conclusively say they're different characters.

I'm 100% for aliasing fauna_(character) -> flora_(twokinds) to prevent further tag warring in the future, and a cleanup of the leoian_(character) tag to remove it from images it doesn't belong on.

For me there are no more difference than between princess_molestia and princess_celestia, pinkamena and pinkie_pie, or any silly tumblr fan character which is almost similar to canon one.

If we're aliasing them (I'm totally for aliasing pinkamena), IMO we should alias this. Rules shouldn't depend of how much is artist/fans whining about them.

Tag warring users are drLennon, redDragonKnight and possibly some more. Since all of them reffers to leoian in 3 person, I'm guessing they're just rabid fanboys/girls

I've just also noticed. What is the purpose of copyright leoian tag? Is this a new way of saying "Original character, do not steal."?

I propose aliasing "Leoian" To invalid tag as well, as he is certainly not a show or copyright worthy on his own. ANd he's not an artist so the Artist tag is invalid.

There, I cleaned the "Copyright:Leoian" Tag off everything, scrubbed it clean, cleaned Leoian_(Character) off all the images not involving him, now to check the timer and see how long it takes them to re-add them all again. Unrelated, something should be done about this M-herm and Maleherm tag I found while I was at it, probably should be aliased to Herm.

Side-note, I think drLennon and redDragonKnight are both Leoian themselves, I know DrLennon posted "as" leo at one point, but quickly corrected himself {Shame he doesn't know about the "Hide post" function~, well, shame for him anyways.}

Again, I don't give a singular crap about the Flora/Fauna thing, it's a ripoff to me I don't care either way, the part that bugs me is the copyright:Leoian tag and the sudden awareness of the Maleherm tag

Yeah the whole "Lets give commissioners a copyright tag" thing is idiotic. I don't care about the whole debate, but Leo is not a content creator; he is not a show, he does not get the copyright tag. If we start handing out copyright:Commissioners to anyone who ever commissioned anything, I should get one as well, as should just about every character owner ever. Yeah, makes it a sodding mess doesn't it?

Then why don't we alias fauna_(character) to flora_(twokinds)? If you did it for fauna_(leoian), then it would make sense to do it for this tag, as well.

And I agree with Celestia on the copyright. A commissioner doesn't need a copyright tag, especially when he's copying someone else's work to get it.

maleherm is apparently aliased to male_herm. I would suggest nuking that alias, and doing the following:

male_herm aliased to herm
maleherm aliased to herm

maleherm is a useful way of finding masculine-appearing herms, and is implicated to herm. I do not agree with nuking it.

Its why I stepped to the plate, as an artist myself I find what leion or whateverhisnameis did with claiming fauna as his creation both disrespectful and disgusting. ...its the same dang character visually.

Normally id have let it go but between the various accounts being used as agents in a tag war that could destroy the tag system...not to mention ripping off a popular and gifted artists work.. not on my watch *looks at watch* which says its seventeen past twelve..

Leoian will be submitting a takedown request for all artwork of his characters, so this discussion is now effectively moot.

I tried talking him out of it and doing something like adding "Fauna (c) Leoian" or something to his pics so there's at least SOMETHING to tell people that it's not Flora from twokinds (though I said this is a solution that would need to be proposed to the users first), or just making the character a little more different so it's not so confusing, but he just wouldn't have it. He'd rather just have all the art removed.

If he's going to be dramatic about it, it's not even worth fighting for. Just let him take his toys and leave.

Seems you're running a "wee" bit behind on the take downs there poke-boy

on a side note, my biggest problem with it is again, the Copyright:Leoian tag {Why don't we just give a copyright:Name tag to every commissioner.} and the fact they keep tagging Leoian_(Character) despite his character NOT being in it, it being the "Fauna" Character expy thing. im probably in that list, though i wana hit leo with a brick....a lead one, for managing to get away with so much character theft.

i still heavily suggest that Fauna_(character) and all variants be aliased to Flora_(twokinds) to prevent this from happening again in the future. The only thing Tom (the creator of twokinds) doesnt own of 'fauna' is her name. Leo even says on his FA page several things that condemn him, for starters the 'copyright' is the same year twokinds came out, anyone who ask's how he came by such a cute character, or ask's why he would go about ripping other people's work off.......gets ignored, deleted, or hidden. Tom has rule's about even mention of Leo in his IRC on the twokinds site... leo's obsessed and hes getting away with copyright fraud, character theft, things people file lawsuits over.
