Topic: FNAF: Toy Animatronics and Mangle

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

New versions of the animatronics were made and given the prefix "Toy" to their names for Five Nights at Freddy's 2. However, Foxy's recreation ended up being mangled and was instead given the name "Mangle."
What this thread is for is to ask, do you guys think that images showing the non-mangled version of "Foxy 2.0" should be tagged Toy_Foxy as well?
If so, which stages qualify?:

No. Mangle is the correct tag. It would just cause more problems. People would end up mistagging it constantly. I feel that Mangle is sufficient.

I kind of figured that was your opinion on it after how vehemently you hunted down the tag and removed it.

Mangle is the "Correct" tag, yes, which is why "Toy Foxy" would imply it, but the name came about due to her mangled body, I'm sure. I highly doubt the people in charge of the animatronics would have named her "Mangle" if she were in proper shape like the first of the three thumbnails.
I probably just read too far into fictional scenarios as though they're real, but it's worth looking into who else does such.

I didn't "vehemently hunt it down." I simply fixed a tag that is redundant. I feel that this tag is unnecessary.

Fritz did mention that the character was "Toy Foxy" but after she had been torn apart so much they left her as a "take apart, put back together" toy for the toddlers and because of how disfigured she is the workers call her "The Mangle".

In the custom night screen, it shows all of the characters' names. Mangle is just Mangle.

There's not really much to discuss about this. Mangle is Mangle, whether she's put together or not. True, she would be referred to as "Toy Foxy" if she wasn't "mangled", but the fact is that she IS Mangle. Just because an artist draws a character a different way doesn't mean that the character is different at all.
Besides, I like Mangle. Her name sticks out from the "Toys"

Are you even reading what I posted...? The character will be tagged as mangle_(fnaf) either way, what I'm asking is if they should also be tagged by what the staff would call it if it weren't mangled.

What I typed answered your original question just fine...
No matter how you look at it, the character in the game is not labelled as "Toy Foxxy" at all, therefore it doesn't need to be a tag.

Alright, thanks for giving the answer straightforward. I didn't realize you were answering at first, and thought you were just saying she should still be tagged as Mangle.

No problem, we all make mistakes.
