Topic: Multiple versions... in the same picture

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Do we have a tag for that? I checked the obvious with variants of multiple* and *version* but nothing came up, yet it seems something like that would exists...

i actually don't know but there is multiple_scenes and sequence tags, deppending of the circumstance?

I know there are more tags related to those two perhaps parasprite knows more about this.

I know of those tags and as I said, I checked here for all multiple* and *version* tags.I'm fine with initiating a new one. I just want to be sure it's needed.

Besides the multiple_images tag that the new tag will be implied to.

What would you suggest?

It only comes to mind multiple_attempts here.

There's some good related discussion in forum #144975, but seeing as you posted there several times I think you are already aware of it. ;)

As far as I know though there isn't any sort of tag for multiple versions of the same image, either when it's on the same post like your example or split into more than one image (this set comes to mind). As far as I know the current way of doing that is by making a pool or setting the parent to all the same post.

Multiple_versions seems like a logical choice, but I'm not sure what it should cover.

I was hoping for something that would be unlikely to interfere with "parent" relationships, you know? But I guess multiple_versions is as good as we're likely to come up with.

ETA: I stumbled across an old upload and it turns out I've used comparison previously, which isn't the worst thing to use, really. Maybe something like version_comparison is better, but for now I'll stick to that.
