Can't we find a synonym word for that? Most bayonet posts on e621 are still knives, mounted on rifles or not.

If my idea in the next paragraph is deemed inappropriate, then we could always fall back on melee weapon (or just both, actually).

I'm in for implicating blade, as it would suit both, but then we need to implicate a whole lot more melee weapons as well.
