Topic: Angry_comments/shitstorm

I was thinking about the lol_comments tag and I notice half the time the comments are not lol, there just angry shitstorms.
Would it be prudent to differentiate between true funny and true shit comments?
Sort of a reader beware thing?

I've actually felt like there should be a drama_comments tag to go along with lol_comments. I think such a thing would be useful.

drama_comments

is a good name for it.

Here's the thing, though: there are around 16 pages of lol_comments posts, and it's a mess. A lot of them could be moved over to drama_comments, but after that, there would still be a lot of posts tagged lol_comments whose comments just aren't funny. What do we do with them?

I don't think lol_comments is worth saving. After sorting out the posts that belong in drama_comments, lol_comments should be invalidated. It's too widespread to work as a joke tag and too subjective to work as a real tag.

Either way, we'll have to read and categorize hundreds of furry porn comment sections. It's not a task I would look forward to.

I wouldn't be in favor of invalidating lol_comments. It's fun to scan through sometimes.

While I do agree that lol_comments is subjective, I feel that it has enough merit to stay. Since it's not used for tagging posts, any problems relating to it are secondary and minor.

But +1 for drama_comments.
