Topic: Tag Alias: カーノ -> white-kano

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Someone being able to translate all these gibberish names into romanji really comes in handy, thanks for your effort!

Just out of interest though (since I can't speak Japanese at all), if is a kana literally saying "ka", and isn't the equivalent of a hyphen but apparently indicates the way the A in Ka should be pronounced, then you're only left with . How can you get both the "no" syllable, the word "white" and that hyphen out of that? Especially since according to this it's only the katagana spelling for the former (no).

I mean, doesn't it just say Kano then? =\

EDIT: Durrr, didn't notice you only suggested this one because it was already active. Sorry. D:

Yeah, I'm fairly sure a more accurate transliteration would be Kaano or Kāno but it doesn't seem to be romanized that way anywhere. Although someone more familiar with the rules of Japanese romanization may have a better insight.

My guess is it would have been a reference to Kahn from Star Trek or something. You would have to find somebody fluent in Japanese to actually ask what they would like their name to be written as in English/Romaji though.
