Topic: Skirts, dresses, upskirt, and more: Aliases/Implications

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The upskirt tag is currently used for both skirts and dresses, so I think we should either remove the upskirt -> skirt implication, or create a new dress -> skirt implication. As it is now, upskirt shots of a dress get tagged with skirt, while dresses are otherwise not automatically tagged as such.

Similarly, any thoughts on implicating or aliasing dress_lift to skirt_lift, since posts under the two are often similar in nature? Then again, we do have a separate tag for shirt_lift, and we would lose specificity if one is aliased.

I'd say to just delete the skirt implication. It's not really necessary and it falls apart with stuff like this. Not really worth the convenience imo.

Dress/skirt_lift are probably fine as they are. They don't have the same issue that upskirt has (i.e., not having an "updress" tag).

clothing_lift is still an implication and tag we could use.

I think that's the best route too, since it seems we're going for upskirt as a particular kind of view rather than as an object-specific term like skirt_lift.

Simple and effective, I like it.

I was going to mention distinguishing between, for example, dress_lift revealing the genitals and shirt_lift revealing the breasts, but a search revealed that there's actually some overlap (e.g. shirts acting as a minidress).

Can anyone see any problems with deleting the upskirt -> skirt implication? Otherwise it seems like it would be an uncontroversial change.

Nah, since, at the very least, dresses get in the way of the implication, I went ahead and deleted it.

I'll make a reminder for myself to go through the rest of the thoughts in this thread tomorrow, but feel free to poke me.
