This seems like a useable tag:

My guess, is that neuter was invalidated because of improper usage (ie. castrated vs. castration).

While primarily used describing canine characters, a third option could be an alias to eunuch.

I personally have no comment on this, I just suggested this for consistency with other tags. Here's the post discussing the invalidation of neuter for reference.
