@vex714: my first console was the snes then n64, so going from mario to mgs was a world of difference. Although n64 did have Turok and shadow man and the torture dungeon in Ocarina of Time, oh and quake my favorite and first game I bought myself.

Loot box type stuff in games are a dumb gimmick.

@Doomguy666: PS1 was my first console. Never beat MGS1 until junior high. It was actually really fun. I used to be intimidated to play it when I was a kid.
Played Max Payne a lot on the PS2. Parents didn't mind their 4th grade son playing Max Payne.
