I've noticed that a feature in the profiles of users that shows the former pennames are gone. Is there a particular reasons about it why it is removed?
And is there a feature in searching for those former particular names?

@Itzmeall: it was removed so that the nickname you made during register wouldn't haunt you (xXx_IfApToReNaMoN_xXx) or if you scramble it and leave the site it wouldn't still show up everywhere.
You can crawl tickets or ask admin if it's specific profile.
