@vex714: it's not the ammo either, I tried it in a range revolver and it worked great.

@Doomguy666: perhaps a mainspring issue? I'm reading about it now with some folks complaining about Remington ammo and the "light strike". Blogs say to check the cylinder if it moves a millimeter while in the gun.
I'm thinkin the spring is the culprit
