@zenitix: This is mainly why I am happy that I was able to upgrade my old AMD Athlon 2 X6 to a Skylake, and my R9 390X to a 1070. ~40% of the power usage and much, much less generated waste heat.

@NotMeNotYou: Logically, my current GPU using less energy than the old one would mean less heat output, but I'm not sure if in actuality that it will work out like that.
(point is, my computer just adds to the problem, but it'd still be hot without it)
@NotMeNotYou: I do like my GPU I got in this machine, when my 590 died, I upgraded to a 970, and it's much quieter and uses substantially less energy than the 590, my CPU is getting kinda old though cause I'm still using an i7-2600, but it still works.
