@kamimatsu: It would, but the series doesn't need a prequel, just a proper ending that fills the holes.
Do that first, THEN make the prequels, reboots, remakes, and spinoffs.

Why not both at once? They'd sponsor him and make an ending with no time lost on the prequel.
