not a fan of the new ui. its way less distinctive than the old one... why do people keep insisting on changing something that isn't broke

"distinctive" as in it looks different and is easily distinguishable from other websites?

Yeah, that sounds about right. I don't really like the new design either, but so far I hadn't found the right term for why. Those little symbols and the abbreviation of large numbers as 1.2k just make it look like so many other websites that are trying hard to appear "modern".
