Why am i getting a maximum characters error when trying to reply to stuff im not over 1k characters

yeah, it seems like a message that's just normal plaintext is fine, but it starts getting a little funky when you have formatting stuff in the message. 'might be due to it checking the message length based on the HTML after it's been parsed from DText and there's a discrepancy... or something?
