I wiped a knife with tissue papers, and it cut my finger and the tissue paper. Moral of the story: don't wipe knives with tissue papers.
EDIT: Knives. Cut through tissues. Like the paper, and skin tissues.

not just tissue paper, a sharp knife will cut through a lot of the stuff you'd use to wipe it down.
this is why you just don't wipe directly along the blade of a knife, always at some angle away from the blade. never put pressure on or across the sharp end of a knife unless you want that thing to be cut. don't assume that whatever is between the blade and you is going to protect you, not even cut resistant gloves.
also just, in general, try to be consciously aware of how stupid you are, because it's really easy to get complacent and touch the heating element of the broiler in your oven again.
