No, because in every other developed country in the world, if a chemistry teacher has cancer, they go to the oncologist and get it treated. They wouldn't have to cook meth and become a drug kingpin to pay for it.

I think it's more, the character in Breaking Bad couldn't pay for the cancer treatment or the health insurance, so he turns to crime as a result.

I also laugh at the term "developed country", what a joke of a term.
