Characters taking on the role of another gender, either willingly or unwillingly. This can include, but is not limited to:

• crossdressing
• misgendering
• Referring to a penis as a clitoris
• male impregnation
• A bride taking the role of a groom during a wedding, or vice versa

This can overlap with hierarchy play in a setting with heavy gender discrimination, such that one gender has significantly different social power from another.

This can get confusing when it comes to intersex and transgender characters. If in doubt, consult howto:tag genders.
