humans depicted in a variety of art styles
Humans, or Homo Sapiens — a bipedal, sentient mammalian species of the Great Apes family of primates. On e621, human is a species tag, and a "form" tag — meaning that characters that are canonically non-human, but physically indistinguishable from humans, with NO visible non-human features, should be tagged as human.
Tagging Notes
- As noted above, canonically non-human characters may be tagged as human if they are visually indistinct from humans in any meaningful physical way, this includes:
- androids with no obviously robotic features (e.g. the androids from Dragon Ball Z)
- aliens that are almost entirely human in appearance, regardless of skin colour (e.g. the Chiss From Star Wars or the Tamaranean from DC comics)
- Note that such characters may be tagged as alien as well as human, due to their human form.
- vampires (if lacking vampire features other than fangs), and ghosts of humans should be tagged as human and as their respective supernatural creature
- human characters that have unnatural skin tones (e.g. human characters from Equestria Girls, Kris from Deltarune and Frisk from Undertale)
- This tag also applies to anon characters when they are intended to be placeholders for a human, despite often lacking facial features, and unnatural grey or paper-white skin
- If a character has obviously non-human features, such as antennae, horns, antlers, or humanoid pointy ears, they should be tagged as humanoid, not human
