tank (vehicle)

A tank is a powerful and heavily armored ground vehicle, not to be confused with other armored fighting vehicles such as IFVs.

The term "Tank" is often used to refer to any large armored vehicle with a cannon on it. The biggest distinguishing factor between a tank and other armored vehicles is that tanks have very large main guns, with the turret being almost as large as the rest of the vehicle. The Abrams is a tank. The Bradley, however, is not.

Not to be confused with armor, which is protective gear worn on the body.
