Rosalina made her first debut in Super Mario Galaxy of the Super Mario franchise. She is a powerful figure who is entitled as the watcher and protector of the cosmos aswell as being the adopted mother of the Luma race. Rosalina and her Luma family traveled all around the Mushroom Universe on a comet known as the Comet Observatory which also dubs as their home. A majority of her backstory was chronically revealed in a storybook that can be read in the library of the Observatory. She once aided Mario to help him with his intergalactic travels across the galaxy to save Princess Peach, stop Bowser's nefarious plan, and hep her recover Power Stars and Grand Stars.

Most of Rosalina's past is shrouded in mystery and very little is known in what she has accomplished long before meeting Mario and his friends. She is very wise, has a soft spoken voice, and a mother figured. These traits made her very popular among the fanbase and has since then appeared and became playable in multiple Mario games to date.
