Species: teshari
The Teshari are avian species that closely resemble Avali. In the lore, Teshari are genetically descendant from Avali, but they desire to be distinct, including by genetically modifying themselves, and speaking a different language. https://wiki.vore-station.net/Teshari
Like Avali, the Teshari stand bipedally, with digitigrade poise. They are covered from head to toe in feathers of varying length. They have winged arms and 4 long rabbit-like ears. They have long cartilage whip-like tails with feather tufts at the end. They are canonically typically between 60cm (2 feet) and 120cm (3 feet, 11 inches) tall like avali, but for Teshari specifically, they tend towards the upper end of that range, usually above 90cm. They prefer to gather and work together in packs.
Unlike Avali, the Teshari have 4 fingers instead of 3, have longer snouts than avali, have smaller wings than avali (mostly vestigial), have a feather mane down their back and often down their tail, and have bulkier body shapes, particularly their chest. While avali can glide in normal gravity and fly in low gravity, Teshari are significantly less agile in the air due to their less-bird-like body, they are only able to glide in low gravity.
Avali-like species: Avali, Teshari, Resomi, and Sur'ri. When tagging, note the existence of these.
