Wolves are a tamable neutral mob in Minecraft, introduced in Java version Beta 1.4.

The original wolf texture (now known as the pale wolf) has grey fur and a tan muzzle, and gains a collar upon being tamed.
In version 1.20.80 (Bedrock) / 1.20.5 (Java), 8 variant textures of the wolf were added.
